A Note About Your Itinerary

Tailor made travel

Dear soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Jones,

Thank you so much for entrusting us to plan such a momentous time in your lives - we are truly honored!

We designed this custom honeymoon Lookbook for you and inside, you will find a curated set of destination options designed around relaxed days, beautiful scenery, and seamless romantic experiences, including several choices in the Seychelles and several in the Maldives.

In broad terms, the Seychelles tends to feel more diverse and island-like, with lush landscapes, granite formations, and a wider mix of beaches, viewpoints, and inland scenery within a single region. The Maldives is best known for its overwater (and beachfront) stays, exceptionally clear lagoons, and standout snorkeling and diving, with a quieter, more “resort-only” rhythm that many couples find effortlessly restorative.

If you share what matters most—ease of island-hopping versus a deeply immersive resort stay, and whether you prefer more varied natural landscapes versus intensely marine-focused days—I can help you narrow these options to the most fitting match for your honeymoon style.

I hope you enjoy the proposal and we will look forward to your thoughts.

Warmly,

Rachel West

Option # 1: The Maldives

Option # 1: Maldives

About The Maldives

The Maldives is an archipelago island nation that spans across the equator southwest of Sri Lanka and India. Comprised of 1,192 islands, with just 200 inhabited islands and under 500,000 citizens, the nation’s economy runs largely on tourism, and is a popular destination for guests from around the world.

The beauty of the Maldives resides above and below the water, with white sand beaches lined by palm trees, and around 2,500 coral reefs that are home to 1,000 species of fish. Snorkelers and divers will not only encounter the radiant colors of these soft and hard reefs but can also experience close encounters with large pelagics like manta rays and whale sharks.

These idyllic islands each offer specific strengths for every style of diving, snorkelling, watersports, and even epicurean delights, but all are well known for luxurious accommodations, impeccable service, and spectacular over-water bungalows. The Maldives are a honeymooners paradise but some resorts are also family friendly and cater for kids.

Option #2: Seychelles

Option #2: Seychelles

With its picture-perfect cerulean waters and soft, sandy shores framed by palm trees and giant boulders, the Seychelles archipelago may very well be paradise on earth. In 1881, when British General Charles Gordon travelled to Praslin, the second largest of Seychelles’ 115 islands, he was certain he found the Garden of Eden - the towering Coco De Mer tree, with its giant, suggestively-shaped seeds, had to be the Tree of Knowledge.

The islands’ granite mountains do go back a long time. These ancient fragments of continental crust were once part of the supercontinent Gondwana, and now sit 1,600 km (1,000 mi) off the coast of East Africa. The Seychelles’ Inner Islands are the world’s only oceanic granitic islands, and its flat, coral, Outer Islands remain mostly untouched. The most well known Outer Island is Aldabra. One of the largest atolls in the world, it’s home to over 150,000 giant tortoises and abundant marine life that thrives on the surrounding reefs.

As for the Inner Islands, Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue draw the most visitors, lined with beautiful beaches, secret coves, and small towns offering a glimpse into Creole culture. Ninety percent of the Seychellois people live on Mahé. Independent since 1976, the islanders are a mix of East African, Malagasy, Indian, Chinese, and European heritage. In Victoria, the capital and cultural center, locals come together selling colorful cotton clothes, jewelry, mangoes, bananas, avocados, fresh fish, coconut oil, and aromatic spices in the lively open market.

While exclusive resorts offer all the bells and whistles, the vibe is about relaxation, romance, and beachside bliss, from sunbathing and swimming to scuba diving, surfing, fishing, and sailing.

For where to stay in the Seychelles, two standout property options lean into different kinds of “wow.” If you want the biggest splurge with an unforgettable, north-island feel, choose Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island for its dramatic setting, sense of escape, and the kind of barefoot luxury that makes every day feel special. For a more polished, elegant alternative with exceptional service, consider Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Anse Intendance (Alfonse Island), where lush surroundings and a serene island pace set the tone for unhurried romance.

Splurge: North Island

Located in the far north of the Indian Ocean archipelago, North Isalnd is a secluded exclusive private island offering the ultimate barefoot luxury. The eleven private villas are immersed in lush tropical vegetation with direct access to the waterfront, and are made, where possible, from local materials.

Each villa has been individually handcrafted by Seychelles and African craftsmen from wood, local stone and glass, with thatched roofs raised over a metre off the ground to catch the cooling island breezes.

Save(ish): Four Seasons at Desroches Island

On Desroches Island, there is nothing to distract you from tranquillity, save for the sound of birds singing and an ocean breeze that invites you to come a little closer. They’re the only resort on this captivating coral island in the middle of the Western Indian Ocean, where the beaches belong to no one and everyone at the same time. The 71 rustic villas and suites are intimate retreats and will make you feel like a castaway who has struck gold.

Experience diverse cuisine and innovative recipes at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island. Perfect for foodies, the restaurants offer luxury dining that pairs the food of the world with fresh, local ingredients from Seychelles.

Attune yourself to the cycle of the day, the circle of life, and the endless connection in between at The Circle of Connection Spa, a haven of wholeness where self, senses, and surroundings unite in infinite harmony. On Desroches Island, nothing is linear and everything is interconnected.

Pro tip -- How I built this page

I played around with the elements on this page a little bit differently and this time put the Area page inside an Accordion element using a Content Block, and then used Content Blocks and Fast Fact elements to add the different property options. I also used the AI element to draft a little intro to the two different options I shared.
